Seattle Historical Arts for Kids

Kids love dressing up, dancing, and pretending. At Shulamit Kleinerman’s Historical Arts summer day-camps, they get to exercise their imaginations (and just plain exercise) on themes enriched by the lives and culture of our ancestors, learning songs and dance steps, stories and legends to take home, treasure and remember. Right now, for example, kids five and up will be learning about gargoyles, building a puppet stage, and practicing an estampie to the strains of a hurdy-gurdy in A Week in Medieval France. Starting Monday August 16, it’s off to Elizabethan England for a five-day immersion in Shakespeare’s World. Slots are still available, and financial aid is available for the qualified, so don’t be shy: call 206-550-2565 or contact shula@historicalarts.org now!
